Rules
  1. The following rules are flexible. The judges, all of them very experienced and independent, will use their discretion when considering applications. Rules
  2. The qualifying period: IT projects that were primarily undertaken or completed in the period to the end of August 2008. No entrance fee is payable.
  3. The deadline for entries is 5pm,  Monday 22th September, 2008.
  4. The short list will be announced on Monday 29th September 2008.
  5. The Awards are for technology projects. Projects should be primarily, but need not be solely, managed in Ireland, and should be applied primarily in Ireland and should demonstrate business value.
  6. Companies may nominate their own projects, or projects can be nominated by a third party with the support and approval of the third party.
  7. There will be eight Industry Cagegory Winners and Runners-up and an additional 4 Cross Industry Inspired Awards which will be selected from entries across all of the 8 Industry Categories.
  8. Judges will contact nominated companies following the closing date on 22nd September for supporting information and discussion. Companies that are nominated by a third party will be considered, but only with the express permission of the project owner and the project owner must be available to discuss project with Judge.
  9. Multiple projects maybe submitted by any one organisation.
  10. The nominated company will be expected:
    1. to support their nomination by supplying additional information if requested during the judging process
    2. in the event that it is short listed,  attend or have a representitive attend the Awards ceremony on 9th October 2008 at the Mansion House, Dublin.
  11. All entries will be considered in confidence.
  12. Judges are expected to declare an interest in any company nominated for an award, or entering an award. The judging panel will decide if a conflict of interest is sufficient to exempt a judge from discussing or voting on that award. A floating judge with replace an exempt judge when considering an entry where a conflict of interest may exist.

The Inspired IT 2008 Awards are completely independent and there is no fee for entering. The awards are designed to recognise genuine excellence in the use of IT.  Core managers or representitives of each of the short listed end-user project teams should attended the Inspired IT 2008 Awards Dinner on 9th October at the Mansion House.
